Accessibility Statement

Version 1.0 | Last Updated: 22 April 2026

Our commitment. SocialGryd is designed to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549. We also meet obligations under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, applicable from 28 June 2025) and, for US users, follow the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

1. What This Statement Covers

This Accessibility Statement applies to: socialgryd.com; marketplace.socialgryd.com; partner portal; public content at /faqs, /terms, /privacy, /cookies, /community-guidelines, /child-safety, /acceptable-use, /marketplace-terms, /creator-hub-terms, /partner-dpa, /brand-dpa, /subprocessors, /ai-notice, /law-enforcement, /transparency, /accessibility; the SocialGryd iOS app; and the SocialGryd Android app.

2. Standards We Target

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA (W3C) — our target standard for all public web and in-app screens.
  • EN 301 549 (European harmonised standard) — the Union-level reference for accessibility of ICT products and services.
  • European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) — applicable from 28 June 2025 to, among other things, consumer-facing e-commerce services and similar online services.
  • ADA and Section 508 (US) — US federal accessibility requirements where applicable.

3. What We Do

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA roles where appropriate
  • Keyboard navigation support across key user flows
  • Screen-reader support (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android, NVDA/JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS)
  • Sufficient colour contrast in compliance with WCAG 2.2 contrast minimums, with independent verification on brand colours
  • Resizable text and reflow-friendly layouts down to mobile breakpoints
  • Captions/subtitles on platform-produced videos, and support for user-provided captions on uploaded videos
  • Alternative text fields on profile images, post images, and story media
  • Clear focus indicators on interactive elements
  • No content that flashes in ways that could trigger seizures (below WCAG 2.3.1 thresholds)

4. Known Limitations

We work to improve accessibility continuously. Areas we know need improvement at the time of this statement include:

  • Some legacy marketing imagery still lacks full alternative text
  • Certain interactive map controls in Spaces discovery have partial screen-reader support
  • Stories and short-form video tools are still being audited for captioning and reduced-motion modes
  • Some auto-generated AI category labels may not yet surface in an accessible hierarchy

We publish progress updates on this page. Please let us know of any other barriers you encounter.

5. Report an Accessibility Issue

If you cannot access content, complete a task, or use a feature because of an accessibility issue, contact us:

When you contact us, please tell us: (a) the URL or screen where you had the problem; (b) the device, operating system, assistive technology, and browser you were using; (c) what happened, and what you expected to happen.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days and to provide substantive response within 20 working days.

6. Enforcement

If you are unhappy with our response under Section 5, you may complain to the competent accessibility-enforcement body in your jurisdiction. In Estonia, this is the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA). In other EU Member States and in the UK, see your national accessibility authority.
